Description:

The 60’s American Champion is 1x12 combo that has the warm clean 60’s Fender tone in a compact and great sounding package. The cleans are sweet and sparkling with scooped mid-range and it has a sweet bluesy overdrive when pushed. Like the 60’s Fender amps it is inspired by it makes a great pedal platform. It can either be 10W with a 6L6 type tube installed or 5W with 6V6 with no bias adjustments necessary. Optionally London Power Scaling can be installed for the ultimate in volume flexibility and the ability to get cranked up tones at low volumes. Plus, any setting below full power extends the life of the power tube.

This amp would be my choice for someone looking at the Princeton Reverb RI amp. It will exceed those in touch sensitively, clarity, and overall tone and has right amount of power for playing at home and smaller gigs. The London Power scaling makes it far more versatile. With a few pedals you will have world class rig.

  • Power: 5 or 10W depending on power tube installed

    Controls: Volume, Treble, Mids, Bass, and bright switch. Power and limit control also when London Power Scaling is added.

    Speaker: 12” American Voiced Speaker

    Hand wired circuit for the best sound, longevity, and serviceability

    Low Noise: Galactic Grounding for the lowest noise and best touch sensitivity, Special resistor selection for the lowest noise and most tone, and DC elevated heaters for no heater hum.

    Fine joined pine cabinet

    Tubes: Uses GZ-34, 6L6GC/6L6WGB/5881/6V6, and 12AX7

    Optional London Power Scaling

  • Custom made transformer set, Switchcraft Jacks, Ultra-long life filter caps, Marlory 150, Vishay, and Pansonic Tone caps, Weber speaker, finger jointed pine cab, ceramic tube sockets, Carling switch, special resistor selection.
