Description:
One of my most popular amps is my Classic Tweed Champ. In fact Tweed Champ style amps are some of the most popular amps on the market today for two good reasons: they sound great and are very portable! The Champ is an amazing low volume recording amp with great 50’s American Tweed tones but what about players who want a similar feature set but a brasher more British tone? That’s where the British Champion comes in! It’s a mixture of the great Plexi tone and the Tweed Champ tone. Part Champ and part JTM45. Loaded a KT66 it puts out 10W glorious watts in to a 8 inch speaker. The result is a great, killer British tone akin to the early Marshall amps with health dose of tweed champ.
Another great feature is that is can many other power tube types for different tones. KT66, 6LGGC, 5881, 6V6, or 6L6WGB all without changing anything but the tube!

“OMG!
I'm on cloud nine!
This really does sound like an old Marshall at listenable dBs!
Where has this been all of my life? I have owned, and played through, many top notch amps, but this British Champ is , for my purposes, by far the best!
About 15 years ago, I bought a Marshall Custom Shop JTM 45 Offset head and cabinet. It was fantastic, but way too loud.
This little amp of yours reproduces that vibe but in a much more manageable way.
Although still breaking it in, it is the most " organic " amp which I have played through.
It seems to breath and think what I am playing!
Other brands have included Mesa Boogie, Fender Custom Shop, Morgan, Suhr and Supro.
Keep doing what you are doing! “

“Carl,
Received the amp last night and I love it! I think plugging my strat straight in is all the tone I’ll ever need. I’ve got it dialed in for a tasty amount of overdrive that I’m certain will fit in a mix at the next jam session. Also, the fit and finish is superb, holy cow!…..”
